Q: I don't need to study right now. Can I purchase now and delay my access for a later date?

A: We don't offer the option to delay your subscription start date. Once you purchase or upgrade any subscription, access to your study content begins right away.

Q: Does the discount apply to each renewal charge?

A: Yes! When purchasing a monthly subscription, the Black Friday discount will be applied every month until you cancel the next auto-renewal.
When purchasing an annual subscription, this discount will also apply to each annual renewal until cancelled.

Q: I bought a subscription awhile ago, can I add one of the coupons to my current subscription?

A: No. Black Friday discounts can only be used by current subscribers to upgrade your current subscription to a higher subscription tier or a 12-month plan if you currently have a monthly plan.

Just login and visit the pricing page to upgrade your subscription (no code required). Discounts are not available through your member profile - so make sure you're upgrading on our pricing page.

Q: Can I purchase a 12-month subscription and pay for it monthly?

A: No. When you purchase a 12-month subscription, you're charged for the entire annual subscription cost upfront and cannot be billed monthly for it.
We offer optimal pricing for annual subscriptions when compared to paying monthly.

If you're interested in monthly billing, we have monthly renewing subscriptions available which also allow for greater flexibility to stop and start your subscription between exams.

Q: What if I want to stop my 12-month subscription before the renewal date?

A: Our subscriptions can't be paused or stopped before the renewal date and are non-refundable.
If you know you won't need 12 months of continuous access, please purchase a monthly subscription. Monthly subscriptions offer the most flexibility to start and stop studying month to month.

Q: How does monthly billing work, when will it renew?

A: All subscriptions auto-renew on the anniversary date and time of the initial purchase (monthly and annually). No need to wait for the beginning of a month to purchase.

E.G. If you purchase a monthly subscription on November 17 at 1:46pm, it will renew on December 17th at 1:46pm.
If you wish to prevent the next renewal and click the cancel button in your account settings, your subscription would then automatically end on December 17th at 1:46pm.

Your account settings will always reflect your next renewal or end date/time. You'll never lose access early by cancelling the next renewal.

Q: What's the difference between Premium, Pro and Expert?

A: Premium subscriptions include access to Video Lectures and Practice Exams for all six ARE 5.0 exams.
​Pro subscriptions include access to Video Lectures, Practice Exams, Flashcards, Practical Application Videos and Study Guides for all six ARE 5.0 exams.
​Expert offers everything that Pro includes plus access to our live, interactive weekly Virtual Workshops, and our Pass the ARE Guarantee.

​Q: I only need access to one exam, how do I purchase content for a single division?
I'd like to access the Practice Exams only, can I buy access to these separately?

A: We don't offer access to content by a single exam or by individual products. All of our subscriptions offer access to all six ARE 5.0 divisions.
We offer 3 different subscription level options: Premium, Pro and Expert. We also offer flexible month-to-month subscriptions which are extremely easy to cancel ahead of the next renewal when you no longer need to study.

Q: I'd like to buy a gift subscription for someone, or someone I know wants to gift me Black Spectacles. Is this a possibility?

A: At this time, we don't offer the option to gift subscriptions. It's on our radar and we're working on it!
